A Southern California woman has been ordered to stand trial on charges that she was intoxicated when she plowed a car into people leaving a Christmas church concert, killing three women and a 6-year-old boy.

City News Service says Margo Bronstein was ordered Tuesday to stand trial for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of a drug. She's pleaded not guilty.

Police say Bronstein struck people walking across the Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach on Dec. 17. Nearly a dozen were injured. Six-year-old Samuel Gaza died along with his mother and two women in their 80s.

Bronstein has disabilities and police say she told them she had taken a prescription painkiller and a muscle relaxant.

She faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted.
