California Police Hunt for Suspects Who Assaulted Woman on Video

Police in California are hunting for the perpetrators behind a brutal attack on a woman that was captured on video, Fox 40 reports.

The amateur video, which was posted to YouTube, shows a defenseless woman being punched and knocked to the ground outside a donut shop in Sacramento.

"He goes up and punches her in the face. That's kinda the shocking part of the video. It's unprovoked," Sacramento Police Sgt. Andrew Pettit told the station.

One of the men is seen taunting and laughing at the woman.

Police are trying to determine the woman's mental capacity and say they are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime, according to the station.

Authorities are hoping the video will generate leads in the case.
