A California couple has been arrested on suspicion of planting drugs in the car of an elementary school parent volunteer they disliked.

Orange County prosecutors say Kent and Jill Easter were arrested Tuesday and each was charged with two counts of felony conspiracy and false imprisonment.

The Easters are both attorneys and live in Irvine.

Prosecutors allege the Easters were angry because they felt the volunteer did not properly supervise their son.

Kent Easter is accused of planting prescription pain killers, marijuana and a marijuana pipe in the woman's car and then calling police from a pay phone to say he had seen her hide the drugs in her car.

Kent Easter did not return a message seeking comment.

The couple will be arraigned July 17.
