Firefighters responding to a garbage fire at a Philadelphia park early Tuesday found a man's body burning and bound with an electrical cord.

The fire was reported at Tacony Creek Park in the city's Crescentville neighborhood, WCAU-TV reported.

When crews arrived at the isolated wooded area to put out the garbage fire, "they realized there was also a human body on fire," Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

The electrical cord was tied around the man's ankles wrist and neck, and the body was tied to an auto jack. It was not known if the man was dead before he was set on fire.

Investigators were working Tuesday to identify the victim, according to WCAU. Small said they have access to private surveillance footage that may lead to the suspects.
