Border agents have arrested two women suspected of smuggling 325 pounds worth of pot into Arizona.

Agents assigned to the Sonoita station were working on Interstate 10 and stopped a vehicle during a thunderstorm Tuesday. They found it loaded with 14 bundles of marijuana worth an estimated $260,000.

The vehicle and marijuana were seized and the two female smugglers inside were taken into custody.

The Border Patrol's Tucson sector has seized nearly 950,000 pounds of pot valued at about $750 million last fiscal year, which ended Aug. 31.
