A judge has denied bail for a man who authorities say played a major role in helping a Houston-based company illicitly sell military technology to Russia for years.

At a detention hearing Friday in Houston, Alexander Posobilov was ordered to remain jailed until his trial. He was the director of procurement for Arc Electronics Inc.

Posobilov; his boss, company owner Alexander Fishenko; and six others were arrested earlier this week.

A detention hearing for Fishenko and three of his workers was postponed until Wednesday. Two employees will have their hearings Tuesday. One employee was granted bail Friday.

An FBI agent testified Friday that Posobilov coached employees on how to hide that cutting-edge microelectronics the company was sending to Russia were ending up with military and intelligence agencies.
