A power outage at Orlando International Airport halted tram service and stranded passengers traveling Wednesday.

At about 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, the airport's official Twitter account reported the technical outage, noting service to gates 30-59 had been interrupted.

According to Fox 35 Orlando, airport staff are working to assist passengers take a detour via the tram to gates 1 through 29.

The airport is now advising any passengers traveling through Orlando International to allow extra time Wednesday.

Over the last two months, the tram, which was recently installed and serves passengers traveling to gates operated by American, United and Spirit airlines, has experienced several breakdowns "caused by electrical issues," reports the Orlando Sentinel. 

In April, 14,000 fliers were affected by a breakdown on April 19 and just last month the tram shut down again between gates 30 to 59.
