Here are the top five attractions:

5…50 live performance theatres
With more than 50 live performance theatres, it is hard to decide which show to attend on a limited vacation. One visitors must visit is the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Theatre which tells playwright Harold Bell Wright’s epic tale of love, loss, power hardship and the meaning of life.

The play is retold every night and requires more than 80 actors, 40 horses, a flock of sheep, several firearms, a vintage 1908 DeWitt car and an actual burning of a log cabin to bring the story to life. Since the theatre opened it’s doors in 1960, people have come from all over to experience Wright’s lively tale. Check the theatre’s website for details regarding upcoming shows.

4…Moon River Theatre
Visit the 2,000-seat theatre where pop legend, Andy Williams, once graced the stage. Williams designed the Moon River Theatre, which is the only building in Branson to include natural rock formations as part of its construction. The singer regularly performed on stage alongside all-star guests including Glen Campbell, Ann-Margret, Petula Clark, and Charo.

Enjoy recipes from Williams’ mother at the Moon River Grill. The menu includes homemade chicken soup, pecan encrusted trout, rhubarb shortcake and the singer’s personal favorite Provencal sauce.

If you are in Branson during the holiday season, be sure to attend the Legacy Continues with The Andy Williams Christmas Show. One of the most popular Christmas shows in Branson is starring The Osmonds and The Lennon Sisters this year.

3…Never ending entertainment
There is something for everyone to enjoy in Branson; the city has no shortage of live performances and concerts. If you are looking for comedy, stop by two-time winner of Branson comedian of the year, Russian comedian Yakov. If you are in a musical mood, buy tickets to the 12 Irish Tenors show or attend one of the various pop and country music concerts. Also stop by the Shoji Tabuchi Theatre to hear the Japanese-American country music fiddler play.
