The 27th annual National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest is now underway but the iconic magazine has already received several stunning entries from around the world.
Winners of the contest will receive an eight-day National Geographic photo expedition to Costa Rica and the Panama Canal with airfare for two. The second place winner gets a six-day expedition through Yellowstone to check out the winter wildlife.
Judges will award the top prize in four categories: Travel Portraits; Outdoor Scenes; Sense of Place; and Spontaneous Moments.
