Don’t sweat the $100 pet fee—it’s donated in its entirety to the Chicago’s largest no-kill animal shelter, PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving).
2. The St. Regis Aspen Resort, Aspen, CO

The exalted hospitality of the St. Regis brand extends to all four-legged friends at this popular Aspen outpost, where dogs can play fetch in Wagner Park just outside the property or go for a hike with their humans on one of the nearby trails. Come evening, dogs receive a daily turndown surprise and can snooze in comfort on their very own St. Regis dog beds ($25/day).

4. The Lodge at Glendorn, Bradford, PA
This luxury lodge on the outskirts of Allegheny National Forest in northwest Pennsylvania welcomes pets in six of its 12 posh cabins for $75 per night: our favorite is the 1920s log-and-plank sided cabin, Miller Cabin. Dogs and owners alike will love the expansive surrounding forest, which can be accessed via wooded trails.
5. The Envoy Hotel, Autograph Collection, Boston, MA
Many hotels in Boston are pet-friendly, so it’s a dog-eat-dog world courting pet owners—yes, pun intended. The Envoy (which charges a $100 sanitation fee) has a competitive advantage, however: its location in the city's buzzy Seaport District. After a stroll along the picturesque Harborwalk, enjoy lunch at one of the many pet-friendly restaurants, and explore downtown Boston’s Greenway, a popular place to hang out in the summertime.
