Snapchat is a known showcase for tidbits from life, but for some users of the the new Snapchat Spectacles, it presents a whole new opportunity: the chance to shoot and share one's sex life.

A recent report by Mashable profiled several Spectacles owners whose names were changed at their request for privacy. Mashable said 26 Spectacle owners chimed in, including, “several people who wore the glasses during masturbation, foreplay and sex.”

SNAPCHAT's SPECTACLES HAVE ALREADY STARTED TO SHOW UP ON EBAY FOR CRAZY PRICES

Some users said they knew from the outset that Spectacles would make a great bedroom accessory. One told Mashable, "My friends have talked about all the possibilities that can be made with these, including sex."

Snapchat, which boasts 150 million daily users, introduced the Spectacles this past summer to limited accessibility. Users with racy intentions said in the article that the potential to film themselves in the throes at different angles and views was seen as an exciting possibility.

However, videos shot using the accessory are not automatically sent to the user’s feed, but go instead to a designated Spectacles tab. Snapchat also offers a “My Eyes Only” feature to the app, which requires a PIN code before content can be accessed.

THE CRITICS HAVE SPOKEN: SNAPCHAT'S GLASSES ARE A HIT

Some users said Spectacles as a sexcessory wasn't without its hang ups. Spectacles only record up to 30 seconds of video after a button is pressed three times. Others said that the sunglasses aspect of Spectacles made intimacy feel impersonal.

Despite that, one user told Mashable, "The Specs will definitely be 1000% less creepier than Google Glass."

So, at least there's that.
