Instagram now supports 60-second videos, but what's the point if it's hard for people to find them among Instagram's sea of snapshots?

Have no fear; Instagram has tweaked the design of its Explore tab in the Instagram app to give videos a little more star treatment. With Video Channels, the app will display a "Videos You Might Like" option at the top of the Explore tab; tap it to scroll through clips rather than a mix of photos and videos.

"As people share more videos than ever before, we're making it easier to discover the ones you'll love. To begin, you'll find a personalized channel called 'Videos You Might Like' that collects videos from across Instagram's global community into a seamless viewing experience. And as you scroll through the Explore grid, you may also see 'Featured' channels filled with videos on specific topics," Instagram says.

You'll have to update your Instagram to the latest version to see the changes. Once it appears, tap Videos You Might Like and you can scroll through clips vertically as you do your normal Instagram feed. If you like the video, you can tap on it to go to the original Instagram post or send said video to your Instagram friends. If you don't like the subject of the video at all, just tap on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the video and either report the user's video if it violates Instagram's guidelines or tell Instagram that you want to see fewer videos like it.

Other than these small tweaks, Instagram's Explore tab is pretty much the same as it was before. And that's intentional.

"Even with these changes, Explore still works the same way: It connects you to posts about your interests from people you don't yet follow. The more you like, the better Explore gets, adjusting to your preferences and showing you more of the stuff you enjoy," Instagram says.

So far, the (slightly) new Explore tab is available with the 7.20 version of the app, which is now live for both iOS and Android. However, the changes are only available for those in the US right now; Instagram is looking to roll out video channels internationally "soon."
