Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! brings gourmet exclamation marks to PC and PS4 in 2016

If you want to cook scrumptious recipes without forcing your friends and loved ones to scarf down your failed experiments, Vertigo Gaming has some good news for you: Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! is coming to PC and PlayStation 4 next year, and with it come a generous serving of three exclamation marks and over 1000 recipes.

In the official announcement on the PlayStation Blog, game designer David Galindo expressed his surprise that the original Cook, Serve, Delicious! found such a large following -- he cites Let's Play videos and streams as a large part of the game's success, which now stands at almost one million sales.

Galindo promises that the sequel will "be even faster and more challenging than ever," tasking you with transforming a "dilapidated caf" into a "five star world famous restaurant." This is more than just an updated version of the original game, however, with brand new art and music, as well as more than 1000 possible recipes and 180 different foods.

The game's reveal trailer, which you can see above, shows off some of the food you can expect to make to some super sexy R&B. Bacon-wrapped steak, calzones, lamb, fruit salad, and octopus all appear to be on the menu.

"I'm gonna fry up some chicken in that bacon grease and then fry up some more bacon," the narrator's sensual voice states. Sploosh.

The first Cook, Serve, Delicious! was also released on mobile devices, as well, but this doesn't appear to be the case for its sequel, at least yet. If you're curious about what Vertigo Gaming has worked on before, you can check out their original fan-made games, Ore no Ryomi and Ore no Ryomi 2, which served as the inspiration for Cook, Serve, Delicious! eight years later. Just make sure you have an old operating system: The games won't function on anything newer than Windows XP.
