Answering the ever-common question "What should we do tonight?” is barHappy, a smartphone app and website that puts bar, restaurant, and club special at your fingertips.

Using GPS, the app displays local watering holes so you can pick a spot based on food and beverage deals, atmosphere, and more, for on-the-go-outings.

“If you want to go watch a football game you can search for a team, or a sport like hockey, and also if you like to play Big Buck Hunter or other arcade games,” James Fisher, senior vice president and barHappy member, told FoxNews.com.

Restaurants and bars can update deals through the back-end of the app, sending push notifications to users to draw them in. Gina Groh, regional marketing director of McFadden’s Saloon in New York City, sid the app has helped to generate new business -- especially at times the bar might be slow.

“Our customers really love it. If they're in the neighborhood, they can open the app and pull up all the bars in the area and see what specials they are offering and decide where to go,” Groh said.

Using a social media profile, users can rate bars to earn points, create wish lists of places you want to explore, and create group outings.

“You can check in on Facebook and Twitter, as well as Foursquare,” Fisher explained.

In real-time, user can create “group outings” and invite friends to convene at the same spot that night.

Users can search for favorite spots by typing in a specific bar name, or look for a place that serves a specific drink type or is having a certain drink special. To discover new locations, users can choose from one of the five atmosphere categories -- Relax, Listen, Play, Mingle and Watch -- and then filter results by selecting amenities such as live music, pool table, wine bar, and more.

Cheers!
