Two people are wounded and one person is in custody after a shooting incident at a Fort Bliss housing complex Friday.

The Army post near El Paso was sealed off shortly after the 7 a.m. shooting incident was reported. A statement issued by Fort Bliss spokeswoman Jean Offutt confirmed that two had been shot and one taken into custody, but it said the conditions of the wounded weren't available. No identities have been released.

The FBI was assisting Fort Bliss military police and the Army Criminal Investigative Division in the investigation.

The shooting happened at the Lindquist Housing Units across the street from Chapin High School. The Lindquist units consist of 189 single-family and duplex houses intended for Fort Bliss families.
