The Saudi Arabian government is sponsoring an anti-terrorism conference in February.

Now, they’ve suffered from terrorist nuts, just as we have. But the Saudis have kind of a split personality on the subject of terrorism.

One leading Saudi Sheikh was just on Saudi TV warning terrorists not to strike inside the Kingdom. “This is forbidden, brothers! This is the land of Muslims. We must never do this in a Muslim country.” On the other hand, terror strikes in Iraq are just fine: “There is nothing wrong with suicide attacks if they cause great damage to the enemy."

Then there’s the question of who’s coming to their terrorism conference. Of course Israel wasn’t invited; the Saudis say the Israelis are terrorists. But the Iranians were invited, even though Iran sponsors terrorists inside Iraq and Lebanon and operates a nasty group of homegrown terror squads.

So will American officials go to the conference? No word yet from Washington. But a Saudi Prince says a big U.S. delegation is coming. We’ll keep you updated on this one … Stay tuned.
