Matt Damon wakes up with two bullets in his back and no I.D. Is it something he said? He wants to know who he really is and no one's going to stop him in a Mini-Cooper. The Bourne Identity turns the affable "aw shucks" kid into an unwitting action star. And he looks uncomfortable for a reason. This production was plagued by bad director-star karma. There are some top notch action sequences but we've seen a lot of this before according to most reviews. One interesting side note: this puts pals Damon and Ben Affleck up against one another. Sum Of All Fears has been No. 1 for two weeks in a row. Can Ben blow up Matt too?
Next Nicolas Cage has reservations about guarding a Najavo Indian who may or may not help win World War II in Windtalkers. It's based on a code used during the war that relied on the Navajo language. Critics have a translation of their own: long, boring and thanks to director John Woo, a woozy dose of ultra real wartime violence.
