The ashes of a miscarried baby girl — allegedly stolen by heartless thieves during an armed robbery in Florida — were found and returned to the unborn child's grieving mother.
Janie Brunson said she pleaded with the men who held her up at gunpoint earlier this week at a South Florida bus stop not to snatch the small, white box containing the remains of the fetus she named Shaunyce.
But they didn't listen.
"I loved her," a weeping Brunson said of her second miscarried child in the past year. "I really did. I tried so hard to protect her. I begged and begged him not to take her."

Opa-locka police said they tracked down the ashes Thursday, a day after the robbery, but provided no other details.
"I'm so happy I have her home," Brunson said.
The suspects are still on the loose.
Thieves also made off with a gold chain belonging to Brunson's boyfriend and some money, police say.
