Steve Harrigan joined FOX News Channel (FNC) as a Mid-East correspondent in September 2001.  Currently, he is covering Operation Enduring Freedom and is stationed in Bagram, Afghanistan.

Prior to joining FNC, Harrigan spent 10 years as a CNN correspondent based in Moscow where he reported from inside the Kremlin when then Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev resigned in 1991, and covered the Chechen War extensively for the network.

During his tenure with the network, the Moscow bureau received the Peabody, DuPont, and Kaplan Awards for excellence in reporting.  A graduate of Duke University, Harrigan holds a Ph.D. in comparative literature and is fluent in Russian.
