Sen. John W. Warner is back at work on Capitol Hill after his third hospitalization in recent weeks.

Warner's aides said the 80-year-old Republican was released from a northern Virginia hospital Saturday. Warner had been admitted there Wednesday for treatment of a low-grade infection after minor surgery earlier on his thigh.

Aides said the infection responded well to intravenous antibiotic treatment and was much improved Monday. Warner had undergone the thigh surgery to close a small hole in an artery, which developed after his earlier treatment for an irregular heartbeat.
