SOUTHINGTON, Conn. – A former second-grade teacher who resigned after making an appearance in a bikini on the "Howard Stern Show" is suing Southington school officials and her union.
Marie Jarry, who resigned abruptly in May after taking a paid sick day to appear on the shock jock's satellite show, claims she was forced into resigning.
Her lawsuit has been filed in Hartford federal court.
Jarry resigned from her job as a second-grade teacher at Thalberg Elementary School in Southington days after she wore a bikini and talked about her sex life while appearing with her husband on Stern's show.
The couple won $5,000 in the show's "Ugliest Dude, Hottest Wife" contest.
Jarry is demanding that she be reinstated and receive back pay from when she resigned.
