Report: 'Wire' Actor Stabbed at Baltimore Party
An actor on the Baltimore-based show "The Wire" was stabbed in the buttocks and chest while at a party in Northeast Baltimore early Sunday morning, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Christopher J. Clanton told the newspaper "mayhem broke out" at the social hall in Overlea and he was trying to push past a fight between two other men when someone started fighting with him.
The 22-year-old was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and was in good condition Monday. He was expected to be released Monday or Tuesday, the newspaper reported.
Clanton, who lives in Northeast Baltimore, played Savino Bratton on the HBO drama. His character, a soldier in a drug organization, was killed off in the show's last season by a man who robbed drug dealers for a living.

The actor pleaded guilty in Baltimore to manufacturing, distributing and dispensing a controlled dangerous substance and other drug-related charged in August 2006, the newspaper reported.
