The mother of a child who came to be known as "Baby Grace" blames her husband’s discipline plan for the toddler’s death, local station KPRC 2 reported Wednesday.
Kimberly Trenor claimed her husband, Royce Zeigler, stayed home from work on July 24 to punish her daughter, Riley Sawyers, by allegedly spanking her with a belt and placing her in a tub filled with cold water. While Trenor admitted to taking part in the spankings, she claims Zeigler was much more violent, KPRC 2 reported.

Zeigler’s defense claims Trenor is not credible and he is not the monster she has painted him to be. They said Riley’s death was an unfortunate accident, KPRC 2 reported.
