Report: Anna Nicole Smith's Son Daniel Did Drugs; Larry Birkhead Testifies at Inquest

Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel Smith did drugs and stole Methadone from his mother, according to Larry Birkhead's testimony Monday during the Bahamas inquest into his death, reported.

Anna Nicole Smith noticed some of the drugs were missing from her Studio City home in April 2006 and checked the security cameras which revealed her son Daniel Smith and his friends were behind it, Birkhead told the inquest.

Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter and only heir, changed two of the stories he gave to police concerning Daniel, according to the celebrity Web site.

When asked about his statement saying he saw Anna Nicole Smith give her son Methadone, he said he wasn't sure if he specifically saw the former Playboy Playmate give it to him, reported.

Birkhead told police he saw Howard K. Stern smoke pot with her and her son. When asked about that statement while under oath, he said he was not completely clear on what he saw, reported.

The Web site also reported that in July 2006, Daniel Smith was admitted to an L.A. hospital for misuse of valium.

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Monday a judge issued a ruling in the search of a computer seized from a psychiatrist in an investigation of drug prescriptions issued to Anna Nicole Smith after her overdose death last year.

An attorney for Dr. Khristine Eroshevich sought Monday to have the computer returned to avoid compromising the privacy of other patients.

But after a hearing in chambers, Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler ruled that a court officer will use a special program to search the computer and turn over any relevant documents to investigators.

Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental drug overdose in Florida in February 2007.

In October, California Department of Justice agents raided homes and offices of doctors who prescribed drugs to her.
