ANALYSIS:Dean's ads have consistently been strong on communicating a clear message, which rests heavily on his "outsider" positioning, his opposition to the war in Iraq and his Democratic grassroots empowerment theme. Like most of the Dean's spots, the core central message of "One Candidate" appeals to Democratic activists who vote in these caucuses and primaries.
While this ad is essentially a restatement of pitches that have been used for many months, it does a good job summarizing the Dean messages and presents the candidate well. We have seen it many times before from Dean, but that's what makes it work.
