“Gothika” goddess Halle Berry is set to scare even herself when she pulls a Britney Spears and loses her locks — in this case for a film role in the romantic comedy currently titled “Nappily Ever After.”
"I'm going to shave my head bald. I can't believe it," she told reporters on Wednesday.
The act isn’t actually out of sympathy for Spears, as Berry will be playing a woman who decides to go for the sharp shave after her hair starts falling out. Berry’s character then must learn to cope with people’s perceptions of her and the way in which her hair shaped who she was.
"I still struggle with this hair issue," Halle confessed to the press. "I'm going to get the lesson on film, and hopefully other women will get it, too."
The bygone “Bond” babe plans to bring out the colossal clippers on film, and won’t be faking it with a cap. But, it will be more than a year before fans can catch the hair-free Halle on the silver screen, as the new draft for “Nappily” has just been completed.
While Berry might be a bit mortified about mowing her mane, she is more than happy to be walked all over.
Earlier this week the sexy screen siren passionately and very publicly kissed her new star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
Brit's Rehab Men
Reformed rehabber Britney Spears must have used some male medicine to perk up while in Promises.
The pop princess reportedly had romantic rendezvous with Jason Filyaw of the rock band Riva, and another mystery man while at the 12-step center. Now, it's been revealed that Spears also found time to mash musician Howie Day.
According to Life & Style Magazine, the bald Brit “fell hard” for the singer-songwriter while shuttered away and now plans to bring Day as her date to a family wedding in June.
An insider told the publication that Spears “lights up” when she talks about Howie and raves that he’s “the best kisser ever.”
While Brit may happy, Mama Lynne is rather snappy. Mrs. Spears is said to be less than stoked about her daughter’s new catch, as Day has a history of “toxic” troubles.
The guitarist has been arrested twice, once for locking a fan in the bathroom of his tour bus and another time for a drunken round of verbal abuse of a flight crewmember.
The senior Spears, however, isn’t the only one trying to keep Britney “overprotected”; breast-baring music mogul Janet Jackson is also said to be sending her support.
The singer reportedly told Vibe Vixen magazine that she's praying for the pop star and fears her dip into diva depression is far from over.
"I'm really afraid something's going to happen, and I hope it doesn't," said Jackson in the interview. "I don't know her, I don't want to assume anything, but who knows?"
Avril Lavigne: ‘I Didn’t Back-Bite Britney’
Speaking of Brit, “complicated” songstress Avril Lavigne wants to assure the world that there are no punk princess vs. pop princess problems between Spears and her.
Earlier in the week, Lavigne was quoted by The Sun newspaper in London as having snidely said, "What's happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person."
The punk pixie firmly denies having uttered those scathing words.
"I didn't say that," Avril told Los Angeles radio duo Valentine and Lisa Foxx during Thursday morning's gab fest. "I haven't even been talking about her. People ask me about it all the time and I go, 'You know what? I don't know her.'"

While Justin Timberlake is proud to perform as a pop prince, the singer was shy about his ability to bring "SexyBack" to the bedroom ... at least on camera.
In an interview with GQ magazine, the 26-year-old 'fessed up to his fear of having the crew watch his steamy sex scene with Christina Ricci in "Black Snake Moan."
"The sex scene was pretty hot," he told the mag. "I'm not going to say it doesn't feel weird pretending to [have sex with] someone in front of a man with a sound boom, though."

Posh Pals: Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez Buddy Up
The latest best buddies to emerge from Hollywood Boulevard are none other than Posh and J-Lo.
Jennifer Lopez appears to have fallen for Victoria Beckham's "spice" and spent a portion of her interview with Elle magazine bubbling over the British beauty.
"She's such a sweetie, her clothes are just amazing. She's so stylish," Lopez told the mag. "I'm very glad they've moved to L.A. She's a great girl."
The Lopez love for the Beckham brigade doesn't stop there, with Jennifer referring to soccer sensation David as "so sweet" and gushing about Posh's playful persona.
"The best thing about Victoria is that she's got this really funny British sense of humor," Jen added.
While J-Lo may find Mrs. Beckham beguiling, it seems NBC just finds her boring.
After only three weeks of filming and three hours in the editing suite, reports are rippling that her reality show may be squashed.
"So far, all that's been filmed is Victoria house-hunting and her quest to find schools for the kids, which hardly makes scintillating viewing," one source claimed, as reported by Hollyscoop TV.
"David and Victoria are not well-known out there, and they have not yet been able to convince any of their celebrity friends to come on."
It's not only their personal pals who don't seem to be supportive. U.S. designer Sheila Cameron is also trying to boot Mrs. Beckham back to Britain.
In an Anti-Vic campaign, Cameron has released T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan "Free Becks" and "Keep Posh" in a bid to persuade the soccer star to leave his wife in London when he joins Los Angeles Galaxy this summer.
You can even don your dogs and babies in attire to push Posh away.
"Becks is popular over here but Posh is seen as a bit pushy and not really in the same league," a source told U.K.'s Lifestyle Extra. "It's all a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I don't know if Victoria will see the funny side."
Lohan and Duff Forgive and Forget
In another case of Boulevard buddies, former fighters Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff have finally called off their feud.
The screen starlets, who first fell out in 2002 when they were both rumored to be in romantic relationships with Aaron Carter, have put the past behind them.
"We are both adults and whatever happened, happened when we were young," Duff told People magazine. "It's over."
And the new gal pals appear to be making up for lost time by bumming together on a regular basis.
According to People, the dramatic duo danced and drank together last week at Hollywood hotspot Teddy's. They reportedly kissed each other's arms before dashing to the bathroom to babble when Duff's ex Joel Madden arrived with Nicole Richie.
Li-Lo also rolled in to the release party on Monday for Duff's new album "Dignity."
"She [Lohan] is really fun," Duff added. "We were hanging out the other night and she's a nice girl."
All Prude and No Nude for Scarlett Johansson
Sexy screen siren Scarlett Johansson is making sure her private parts never become public parts.
The 22-year-old “Scoop” sensation is reportedly refusing to commit to any contracts that don’t have a no-nudity clause.
"Scarlett is still very young and is aware the roles she takes are going to set out where her career as an actress takes her in the future,” a source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper.
“She doesn't want to fall into being too controversial or too trashy, so nude scenes are out for now.”

While packs of paparazzi pressed up on Britney Spears' Malibu mansion, the reformed rehabber reportedly snuck off for a weekend of vamping in Vegas.
"Britney and two girlfriends went shopping at the Forum Shops," a witness told In Touch magazine. "Everywhere she went, crowds followed her. There were virtually no photographers, just fans. She smiled the whole time."
A sprightly Spears then slipped into Tao for a quick dinner, and according to the source, sipped iced tea and nibbled very little.

While Jen may have lost J-Lo, she doesn’t plan to lose her Latina curves anytime soon.

Fergie 'Fesses Up to Lesbian Love Affairs
Black Eyed Peas sensation Stacy Ferguson (aka Fergie) has confessed to a few girl-on-girl good times.
Fergie told Britain’s Daily Mirror that she rebelled against her Catholic upbringing by indulging in crazy drug and sex sprees.

The Canadian pocket rocket’s mom made her ingest an entire evening of Spears’ singing, she told Jane magazine.
"My mom made me go to a Britney Spears concert when I was young,” Lavigne said. “I was like, 'No I don't want to.' She was like, 'If you're going to be a performer, you need to see other people.'"
Lavigne also says Spears isn’t strong enough for show biz.
“What’s happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person,” she said, according to the London Sun. “If you want a piece of this business, you have to be able to deal with it. You can’t complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, the madness, because that’s the job.”
