Kim Kardashian and football beau Reggie Bush had to do more than just host a White Party in the Hamptons over the weekend to earn a generous paycheck. The two also had to come face-to-face with media-lovin’ Michael Lohan.

According to an inside source at the trendy Whitehouse nightclub, Lindsay’s father and his sassy blonde date schmoozed and moved through the VIP section, but he pounced on an opportunity to chat one-one-one with the reality starlet and her NFL lover.

"Michael went right up to Kim and Reggie and introduced himself," our source said. "He asked them to look after Lindsay out in L.A. and keep a watchful eye on her."

The cozy couple were reportedly very polite and patient with Mr. Lohan, but were "shocked" by his forthright request, as this was the first time they’d met.

But it turns out that this wasn’t the only time Miss Kardashian was startled — or left others startled — while on her less-than-24-hour East Coast "business" trip.

A large sedan was sent to the airport to collect the socialite on Saturday afternoon, but we’re told it wasn’t big enough for Kim and her seven suitcases (yes, she really was only staying one night), so a limo had to be called in just to handle all her, uh, personal pieces.

Goodness. Being a party princess is, like, such hard work — especially when you party till 6 a.m. and miss your early morning flight back to Los Angeles as these two reportedly did. But we are proud to announce that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" starlet is doing some good for society.

Starting Thursday, Kimmy's fans will have the chance to win a lunch date with her and her two sisters, followed by an excursion to their designer-digs boutique DASH, where they will style and dress the lucky winner.

But if you would rather get a little closer to the sexy siren, she is also (attempting) to give away more than 200 "personal" pieces like dresses, shoes, bags and accessories that she has worn to numerous parties and events. Although this is a Hollywood hottie we're talking about, some stuff still has tags.

But Kimmy's cupboard clearing isn't why she's helping make the world a better place: some 10 percent of the proceeds go to the Dream Foundation, which grants wishes to terminally-ill adults. The other 90 percent? A new wardrobe, we're assuming. ...

Lesbian Lovers? Michael Opens Up About Lindsay’s Romance

Speaking of Michael Lohan, this time he has managed to keep his mouth closed — but let his fingers do the talking instead.

Despite the fact that Lindsay Lohan’s mother and publicist have been busy denying reports that the young actress is in a romantic relationship with Samantha Ronson, father Michael has written an e-mail to Us Weekly magazine basically confirming their status as a couple.

Lindsay's dadda said that his daughter's romance with Ronson "is evident to anyone with half a brain," adding that the "Mean Girl" is a "big girl" who "can make her own life choices."

Given the fact that Li-Lo has only just begun to restore relations with her father, whom she has been estranged from for most of her life, we're not too sure if this was a smart move on Michael's part. ...

Lohan and Sam have been BFFs for several years now, with speculation always surrounding the nature of their relationship. Just last week, the starlets were snapped nuzzling each other's necks while aboard Diddy's party boat in Cannes.

Rumors have also been running rampant this week that the two plan to wed, but our inside source said that was all B.S. But stay tuned. ...

Fight Night: Mandy Moore Snaps Over Snappers?

Mandy Moore has certainly managed to establish herself as Hollywood’s All-American sweetheart, but the "Walk to Remember" star seems to have left a not-so-nice legacy with some Prive partygoers.

The singer/actress turned up at the popular Sin City nightspot with "Friday Night Lights" actress Minka Kelly for the Ultimate Fighting Championship after-party on Friday, but apparently Mandy took her bad mood out on puzzled guests.

"She’s normally great to work with, but was very obnoxious this time," an event insider told Tarts. "She refused to take any pictures, and when fans started snapping away anyway, Mandy totally flipped out and went straight for the exit."

Hmmm. We wonder if her apparent attitude has anything to do with Miss Moore being humorously humiliated in front of the entire fight-night audience just a couple of hours earlier.

The camera reportedly panned the crowd, capturing celebs such as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, his pal David Spade and actress Jaime Pressly before zooming in on the smiling pop princess, who even gave a friendly wave.

Announcer Mike Goldberg commented that Mandy "was being becoming a UFC regular" (she also attended the event last year), followed by fellow anchor Joe Rogan labeling her "a groupie." Ouch.

'Idol' Songwriter’s Family Heartbreak

Less than two weeks ago, Nashville resident Regie Hamm’s life was turned upside down when he received a phone call telling him that his song "The Time of My Life" was chosen as the first single released by the "American Idol" winner.

But we now hear about Hamm’s ongoing parental heartbreak from David Cook.

Five years ago, the talented Hamm and his wife adopted a daughter from China (they also have a younger son adopted stateside), but their little girl Bella has since been diagnosed with a rare neurogenic disorder called Angelman syndrome. There is currently no cure available for the disease, which prohibits Bella from being able to walk properly or even talk. The use of simple sign language is even beyond the treasured toddler’s capability.

In an effort to raise awareness and funds that will hopefully one day find a cure for the condition, which is also characterized by seizures and severe developmental disabilities, Hamm is auctioning off a signed, handwritten copy of his winning lyrics, with all proceeds to go to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.

"Just for both my wife and I to leave Bella to come out to L.A. for the 'Idol' finale for two days was a hard decision for us too make," Hamm told Tarts, adding that actor Colin Farrell’s 4-year-old son, James, also suffers from the same syndrome.

"We’re both on the foundation’s board," he said. "So hopefully together we can really build awareness."
