SAEGERTOWN, Pa. – A man fighting with one of his housemates rammed the home with a semi truck and a pickup and later tried to run down two police officers, authorities said.
James H. Rosenberg, 20, was arguing with another man Tuesday night when he allegedly tried to use a pickup truck to run the other man down outside their house near Cambridge Springs, state police said. Rosenberg rammed the truck into the garage door and then got into a semi-truck, police said.
Rosenberg drove the big rig into the door and then into a car in the garage, shoving the car into a stove, which was knocked partially through the wall and into the living room, police said.
Police said Rosenberg then drove the semi into a camper trailer before trying to run down two officers.
Four people, including two children, were inside the home. No one was injured.
Rosenberg was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats. He was in the Crawford County jail on $50,000 bail. Jail officials didn't know if he had an attorney.
Authorities don't know what started the argument. They said Rosenberg and the man he argued with had been in Erie earlier in the day and Rosenberg had been left behind.
"We're still trying to figure it out," Trooper Kurt Sitler said. "I've not run into anything to this degree before."
