Two brothers who police say admitted they kidnapped a Cleveland man, killed him with a baseball bat and burned his body are behind bars.

Alex Wulff, 26, and Aaron Wulff, 19, were arrested and charged last week with felonious assault and kidnapping, according to MyFOX Cleveland.

Authorities were analyzing the remains of the victim, John Maruschak, to confirm his identity after he was burned, allegedly by the Wulff brothers.

Based on information provided by Alex Wulff after his arrest, police on Tuesday searched two ponds in Ashtabula County for Maruschak's body.

Wulff told police that he beat Maruschak with a baseball bat and abandoned his body in some bushes at Ansel Road and Wade Park, according to an affidavit filed to search the property.

Wulff indicated that when he later returned to the area, Maruschak was dead, so he burned the victim's body for six hours and disposed of the ashes, according to the affidavit.

A Cuyahoga County judge set bond at $750,000 for each brother.
