Our 'Adjustment'

Dear Viewers,

Last week we made a slight "adjustment" to the show.  Some of you noticed  the "adjustment" and wrote (and, of course, I love the careful attention to the show!  Some of you should be producers)  What did we do? We had a week in which we eliminated our first news "cut in."  The "cut in" occurs about 10:12pm to 10:15pm eastern time. The second one, which we did not eliminate, occurs in the second half hour. I don't know how long we will continue to do this -- or even whether we will be doing it tonight.

It makes sense for us to eliminate the first news "cut in" since our show is live, is news, and when there is breaking news, we immediately take you to the breaking news. While we are on the air, our news desk and reporters are actively behind the scenes collecting news. If something happens, we get it to you asap. I get the word via my earpiece and within seconds you get it.  Our goal is to get you the news very fast, complete and first. You may notice that our show style is to try and eliminate the anchor "chatter" on our show since long ago I was told that people get sick of hearing the endless drone of what an anchor thinks about a given topic.

I continue to get lots of pictures from viewers.  Every night you are seeing the ones directly from Iraq and our troops.  Here is one that you won't see on the show but from a very loyal viewer:
