Three people were injured when a taxicab lost control and crashed into a subway station on Manhattan's Upper West Side, the Fire Department says.

A Fire Department spokesman says the taxi crashed into the subway station at the intersection of 72nd Street and Broadway at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

He says the three people were not seriously injured and were taken to a local hospital. Their identities were not immediately released.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
