After spending nearly two months in Aruba (search) searching for clues and offering rewards, the mother of a missing teen has left the island and returned home to Alabama.

According to a relative, it was "very difficult" for Beth Holloway Twitty (search) to leave without knowing her daughter's fate, and she plans to return soon to keep the investigation alive.

Natalee Holloway (search) disappeared without a trace on May 30.

Digging continued Sunday at a landfill in Aruba. A potential witness claimed he saw some men dump and cover a female body days after Natalee disappeared.

Holloway's family has offered a $100,000 reward for information that solves the mystery and a $1 million reward for anyone who brings her home alive.
