Missouri Man Faces Charges of Second-Degree Murder in Death of 5-Month-Old Son

O'FALLON, Mo. – A St. Charles County man faces charges of second-degree murder in the death of his 5-month-old son.

Timothy Danielson of O'Fallon is held on $500,000 bond in the death of the infant, Ayden Harley.

Police say the 26-year-old suspect admitted that on Thursday he purposely tried to restrict the baby's breathing.

Ayden was taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital after Danielson called 911 Thursday night. The child died Friday morning.

Doctors called police after observing physical injuries that appeared consistent with abuse.
