The car veered off the Hollywood Boulevard exit ramp on the Florida Turnpike at about 5:15 a.m., CBS4.com reported.

Harvey Greene, vice president of media relations for the Dolphins, told FOXNews.com that Crowder was, "OK," and the team was in the "process of gathering information" about what happened.

He declined to say if Crowder was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Crowder was put on injured reserve four days after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Dec. 18, according to the CBS4.com report.
