A note left by a Tennessee man who committed suicide led police Tuesday to the body of a 29-year-old former model who had been missing since Sunday, police told FOX 13 News in Memphis.

Police had arrived at the house of the 21-year-old man, Austin Agee, to question him in the case when they heard shots inside the Arlington, Tenn., home, FOX 13 reported. The police entered to find Agee had killed himself in the presence of his parents, Thomas and Connie Agee.

Agee's connection to the case wasn't immediately clear, but the suicide note he left directed authorities to the place where they eventually found the body of Lisa Renee Davis.

The Agees' home was about seven miles from Davis' residence, where police had found pools of blood after she didn't show up for work Sunday at the Bumpus Harley Davidson motorcycle dealership, Bartlett Police said.

When investigators arrived at the residence in Bartlett that Davis owned with her ex-fiance, the woman's car was still there, and her keys, purse and cell phone were discovered inside. There were no signs of forced entry.

Davis was last seen the previous evening when friends dropped her off about 2 a.m. after a night out.

Davis' former fiance is a Shelby County Sheriff's deputy, and Bartlett police said the couple had been separated for two to three weeks.

Investigators said there was evidence of a traumatic injury at the house based on forensic evidence collected there. Bartlett K-9 units combed the area Sunday night and removed several pieces of evidence from the house during another search Monday.
