Larry David's wife has filed for divorce after 14 years of marriage.

Laurie David cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for ending their marriage, according to court documents filed July 13 in Los Angeles Superior Court. She is seeking joint custody of the couple's two daughters, ages 13 and 11.

Representatives for Larry David, the co-creator of the NBC classic "Seinfeld" and star and creator of the HBO comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm," did not immediately return messages left Thursday seeking comment.

Laurie David produced "An Inconvenient Truth," the global-warming movie that won the Oscar for best documentary.

The couple wed in 1993 and separated in June. At the time, a spokeswoman characterized the split as "amicable."
