Justin Jokes About Britney at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction

NEW YORK – From Madonna's salty language and comments about drug use to Justin Timberlake's apparent references to his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears, Monday's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was a night to remember.

The always-memorable Material Girl wore a see-through black dress. She was introduced by Timberlake, who said: "The world is full of Madonna wannabes. I might have even dated a couple."

He also referenced the famous kiss between Madonna and Spears at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. Timberlake outlined Madonna's accomplishments, then said, "She has also kissed someone I may or may not have kissed myself." He then joked that he was referring to Madonna's ex-husband Sean Penn.

Madonna shot back during her speech, telling Timberlake, "I'm gonna get you, f----r!" She then thanked those who helped her succeed in the music industry, and she admitted to past drug use.

"The night I met Michael Rosenblatt, who signed me to Sire Records, I jammed my demo tape into his hand, we both did a tab of ecstasy and then we danced the night away."

Iggy Pop performed in leather pants — and not much else. The shirtless singer did two songs in Madonna's honor.

In addition to Madonna, inductees included The Dave Clark Five, Leonard Cohen, John Mellencamp and The Ventures. Among the presenters and performers were big names such as Billy Joel, Tom Hanks, Patti LaBelle, Ben Harper and Joan Jett.

And the Eliot Spitzer story served as the punchline of the night. Songwriting team Leon Huff and Kenny Gamble, known for their song "Me and Mrs. Jones" about an adulterous relationship, said onstage, "There's a little 'Me and Mrs. Jones' going on here in New York."

And actor/film producer Ed Burns got a huge laugh in the press room when he told reporters his next project is about a New York elected official who is involved in a sex scandal. He then added, "I'm serious. It's great timing!"
