Courteney Cox might want to interview former "Friends" alum Jennifer Aniston what its like to date younger guys as research for her next role. Cox is slated to star in the new ABC comedy "Cougar Town," centering on a newly single, 40-old old mom.

"Forty-year-old women on TV are so beautiful and perfect and wrinkle-free," the show's creator, Bill Lawrence, told The Hollywood Reporter. "People don't do the reality of it, and there is a real comedy area about a woman who is talking about Botox, about having sex with the lights on and how her body is changing."

Cox and Lawrence first worked together on "Friends," where he was a writer, and again when she guest starred on "Scrubs," which he produces. "After having such a great time with him on 'Scrubs,' it felt like the perfect fit," Cox said.

Lawrence said some of the inspiration for the show from his wife, actress Christa Miller, who has a recurring role on "Scrubs" and also might join "Cougar Town."
