Illinois Man Drowns in Lake in Lawnmower Accident

PINCKNEYVILLE, Ill. – Authorities in Perry County, Ill., reported that a 70-year-old man drowned after losing control of his mower.

Investigators said Bill Mohr of Pinckneyville had been cutting grass Tuesday evening when he lost control of the mower, which slid down an embankment. Mohr then became pinned by the machine in the lake.

Mohr's wife found her husband and reported the accident.

Mohr was declared dead less than an hour later at a hospital.
