LONDON – J.K. Rowling, hard at work writing a new Harry Potter book, is expecting a baby, a spokeswoman said Thursday.
"J. K. Rowling and Dr. Neil Murray are delighted to confirm that they are expecting a baby in the spring," said spokeswoman Nicky Stonehill.
Rowling, 37, who was married to the 31-year-old anesthetist the day after Christmas last year, has a 9-year-old daughter, Jessica, from her previous marriage.
It was as a single mother after the divorce, bringing up her daughter, that Rowling began to write the best-selling books in Edinburgh.
