You know, after watching my interview with Mary Carey, a lot of people are still asking: "How can you treat a porn star running for office seriously?"
I'll tell you how: By looking at the very serious politicians who've already made a mockery of their offices. Serious politicians who spend too much, tax too much and ignore too much. They have the nerve to talk about a porn star stripping the system of its dignity, but say not a word about local, state and federal politicians stripping us of our money.
Don't you think it's time we went outside the political petri dish?
I know, porn stars running for office seem a stretch. But years back they said that about a certain actor, who turned out to be a pretty good president. The same was said about a former judge, named Truman, who turned out to be a very good president.
I grant you, there's a big difference between actors and judges and porn stars. But sometimes it takes a different set of eyes — or let's just say a different set of whatever — to tackle the same old problems.
Because the same old problems remain. Maybe because we keep electing the same old politicians.
Sure, a porn star is pushing it. But the way I figure it, she beats the heck out of some of the boobs we've already got now!
