The Four Tops, one of Motown Records' biggest hit producers, will perform at a black-tie Super Bowl kickoff event on Monday.

The musical group will join sports stars and celebrities at "A Detroit Salute" at the Fox Theatre, the Super Bowl XL Host Committee said Tuesday.

The event will feature NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue and chief executives of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. Sports celebrities expected to attend include Barry Sanders, Chuck Daly, Scotty Bowman and Willie Horton.

Proceeds will go to The Greater Detroit Charitable Foundation, the host committee's charitable arm.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl on Feb. 5.
