MIAMI – Miami-Dade police are searching for a suspect who they say beat another man during a fight over tomatoes.
According to a police department news release, the confrontation happened when the victim and his 10-year-old daughter were traveling in South Florida. The man stopped driving so the girl could pick a tomato, but that's when they met another man, who said he owned the plants.
An argument broke out between the man and the suspect and it turned into a physical altercation. During the fight, the man fractured his neck and spinal column.
The suspect fled the scene.
