Yes, we're on the road again today. By the time you read this, we'll be crossing the country to California. The show will be out of Los Angeles tonight. Incidentally, you will never in a million years guess why we are going to California. Here is a hint: it has nothing to do with alligators... that road trip was nine days ago.
We had some pre-show excitement last night. An FNC make-up artist (a former CNN employee), went into the studio during Brit Hume's show to put some powder on a guest who was shiny. Apparently as she exited the set, she fell and cracked her head on the floor. She got up and made a beeline for my office.
Within a short period of time, she was in my office bleeding. I'm not sure why she thought I was the best one to handle the situation, but I was flattered. As she entered my office, I looked away from my computer screen to see who was coming in. I saw a very distressed and bleeding colleague. The sight was pretty disturbing. The back of her head (she is a blonde) was very red and soaking wet from blood. With her hair all matted by blood, it was hard to see how big the cut was. I got ice, applied it and, within a short period of time, stopped the bleeding. She said she temporarily lost consciousness when she hit her head, so we sent her off to the hospital with my assistant. She is fine today, but again it's never dull around here. (By the way, as she was bleeding in my office and as I tried to stop the bleeding, she seemed most concerned with the possibility that her skirt went up as she fell.)
Now for some of your e-mails:

Since the Holloway case has been on your plate for a year now, isn't it wonderful we have another pretty blond white girl murdered!
This should boost your ratings, strangled with her own bikini top, with any luck this story could go on six months or better.

It's been a long journey for you and the crew and I want to say thank you for being supportive to Beth rather than just a story... you are a dear, dear human being and Beth was very fortunate to have you beside her while you all were in Aruba. Tonight is going to be a sad one and I'm prepared with the Kleenex.
Our son passed away 21 years ago and I know some of Beth's pain, it's not knowing what happened that I can't share with her... we knew and that makes the loss a little easier. Take care and God bless you for being so darn nice and supportive to Beth through this heartbreaking time in her life. I wish there were more of you in this world.

It amazes me when they take someone into custody and/or court and protect them w/ bullet proof vests, guards all around, etc., when it is for sure they killed. WHY? They had no mercy on their victims. They have committed horrible crimes such as the couple that have killed women and even had a 5 year old abused and would have been killed if not found when did. I think it is ridiculous and they should not be protected at ALL! Maybe it would help save taxpayers some $. They should have NO trial when it is 100% no? They did it. Do the same to them and a lot of this would stop. BUT we put them in prison and feed them for few years and back out again. What a system. That is why so many kill and rape now and know they won't spend much time if any. We need to set examples and especially when they kill and abuse our kids. I pray my kids have no children to raise in this pathetic society. Some are even protected away from the really mean ones in prison. I say let them all be together and maybe it would also get the word out, you kill... you may be killed.

Biull [sic], when Snow resigned Bush said he didn't know ENY-THING [sic] about him leaving [was that a LIE] two weeks before Bush had asked Paulson to take the JOB.

On your posted picture of where Beth's traveled for "safety talks," I noticed some dots are green and some are blue. Are the green dots where she is going to go and blue is where she's already been? I live in Kansas and haven't heard of Beth coming here. I would love to meet her when she comes. I now remember every day how easily what happened to Natalee could have happened to me.
Thanks for the photos and keeping Natalee in the forefront! You're the best!

Greta, could it be possible that the Clemson coed's death was self-inflicted? When I think of any kind of swimwear, especially bikinis, I think of material that has elasticity that would make it possible for someone to wrap the top around their neck, tie it into a knot, and pull it tight while completely conscious, then calmly wait to pass out. Yes, some will say what I suggest is ghoulish and macabre, but is it possible?
