I have posted more pics from the trip we took to ride with the Navy's Blue Angels (search). Many of the pics posted today were taken by a Navy photog, but some I took. When we left, the Navy photog handed me a disk with a bunch of pics and so I thought I would share some with you. I promised behind-the-scenes pics and deliver on that promise today -- there is a pic of the Blue Angels’ locker room and that is as behind the scenes as you can get!

As for my day after the ride with the Blue Angels, I am sore... every muscle in my body is sore. In handling the "Gs," you must use every muscle in your body... and many muscles in my body had never been used before and are sore today. My neck is particularly sore because it took such a beating -- but I still loved the thrill of the ride!

Last night I read from the letter that Beth Holloway Twitty (search), Dave Holloway and their respective spouses sent the attorney general of Aruba. I misread a line to the viewers. I read that Joran said in a statement to investigators in June that Deepak killed Natalee and "burned" her body... the letter from the four says "buried." While I had a bad copy faxed to me, and while I would love to blame it on a bad copy, I can't, it clearly says "buried." The copy was not that bad! Ugh. Right after the segment about the letter ended, my producer politely said to me in my ear piece "I think it said 'buried." She knew it did but was trying to gently tell me. I picked up the letter... looked at it again... and grimaced. I hate when that happens... yes, the word most definitely is "buried" and not "burned."

Dear Ms. Van Susteren,
I enjoy watching your shows and have the utmost respect for your knowledge and questions, but do have one favor to ask of you. I’m not sure if you’re aware of it, but please, please, speak a little more slowly and try not to swallow the endings of your words.
With all the station breaks and commercials I know you only have so much time to get in as much information as you can but hearing only part of the words drives me crazy.
Sorry about this but it is my way of asking that you slow down a little.
Thanks for listening.

ANSWER: I need to slow down... this has been a chronic problem and I keep forgetting to slow down. When I tried cases, court reporters were always giving me hand signals to slow down so that they could take down what I said for the court record. Thanks for the reminder.

I feel ashamed for the way our media are pulling apart the royal couple. Who are we to be so judgmental? So what if the Princess' clothes aren't Vera Wang. We should have the decency to exhibit some courtesy in our newspapers to visiting dignitaries.

Greta: Just watched your latest report on the Holloway case involving the letter the family delivered to Aruban authorities. As a father and grandfather they have my deepest sympathy. A terrible tragedy. As for the letter; unfortunately too little, too late. I offer the following which you may feel compelled to pass on. Were it my child or grandchild I would bypass Aruba, which has proven to be incompetent and unwilling. The state of Alabama has two very powerful and senior Republican
senators. I would direct ALL my efforts towards convincing them to lobby the State Department to place Aruba on their watch list. This would have an enormous financial impact on Aruba which I believe would cause them to take a different position with regard to this investigation. Once again, my deepest sympathy. Good luck.
Sincerely,
Jerry Cisinsky,

Greta,
You have lost your objectivity in the Aruba case. Get off it.

Greta: The news coverage (though yours was pretty much a sound byte) on Prince Charles (search) and Camilla (PCC) I could care less what she wears, what he thinks or where they go. I don’t know who (at least in my little part of the world) is, as you said, “excited” about his visit.
I can’t help but yell, “Go home and don’t let the door hit you in….” well, you know the rest.
