Wednesday's finale of "Dancing with the Stars" (search) waltzed off with over 22 million viewers — big numbers for a summer series.

"Dancing" led ABC to an easy prime-time victory — and averaged almost 3 million more viewers than CBS, NBC, FOX, UPN and The WB combined.

The reality show, won by "General Hospital" star Kelly Monaco (search) and dance partner Alec Mazo, was the summer season's most-watched show thus far.

It also garnered ABC its best Wednesday-night timeslot numbers since 1994.

Monaco and Mazo pulled off an upset victory over former "Seinfeld" co-star John O'Hurley (search) and his dance partner, Charlotte Jorgensen.

Monaco and Mazo scored perfect 10s in their final dance round from the show's three judges.

Those were the first 10s awarded to any dance team throughout the six-week series, which also featured Joey McIntyre, Evander Holyfield, Rachel Hunter and Trista Sutter. For Monaco's efforts, she was awarded a trophy.

In "Dancing," based on the hit British series "Strictly Come Dancing," celebrities were paired with professional dancers, who taught them ballroom dancing moves.

Each week, the couples learned two new dances — with one couple eliminated each week.
