Croatia indicted a former defence minister for corruption on Wednesday, Reuters reported.
The indictment could pave the way for the first anti-graft trial of a top Croatia official, according to Reuters.
Croatia is in talks to join the EU. The country hopes to join in 2012, but Brussels has warned the country that it needs to step up the fight against corruption and strengthen its judiciary, the news agency reported.
