A man was stabbed at a luxury Florida hotel after an argument during a talk by a British writer who denies the Holocaust.

Manalapan police said two people started arguing during David Irving's talk around 9 p.m. Monday at the Ritz-Carlton.

The argument spilled out into a hallway and ended with one man stabbed and another cut on his hand. Both men were hospitalized Monday night and released by Tuesday morning.

No charges have been filed, but authorities are investigating.

Irving told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel by telephone that he regretted the incident and has apologized to the hotel.

"It's quite unacceptable that it happened and I'm very ashamed of it," Irving said.

There were no protesters at Irving's talk.
