A southwest Missouri man faces a murder charge after his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend and her father and stepmother were shot and killed.

Josh Reyes is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and armed criminal action in the death of the new boyfriend, 25-year-old Zachary Bryan Porter of Elkland. He died early Saturday at a Lebanon hospital.

Shortly afterward, 51-year-old Jeffery L. Smith, and his wife, 48-year-old Glenda Smith, were found dead at their Laclede County home. Reyes has not been charged in those deaths, but authorities believe all three were connected.

Laclede County Jailer Tracy Lawson said Reyes was being held without bond Sunday. Lawson did not know whether the 23-year-old Springfield man had an attorney.
