LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad is investigating a suspicious package found near the Hollywood sign.
Police Sergeant Lee Sands says the package was discovered about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday.
No further details were immediately available.
The landmark sign overlooks the city from the Hollywood Hills.
